Who We Are and What We Do

Who are we?

Stevenage Football Club Academy, based at Shephalbury Sports Academy, is a purpose built training facility for all ages and all areas of the community. Anybody of any ability who wishes to play football will be able to find an activity suitable for them. We run an extensive array of activities and sessions across the realms of elite development, junior coaching and casual hire. 

Elite development:

• Development Centre Programme - Our Development Centre programme is our entry level scheme for elite development. Sessions are run by Academy coaches, meaning signs of progress and advancement will allow future possibilities within the Academy set-up.

Junior Coaching:

• Kids Zone - Kids Zone is a 10 week booking for casual coaching for ages 5 - 11. Sessions run by our Foundation coaches will encourage improvement across an array of footballing skills and attributes within a fun and inclusive environment.
• Pay & Play - Alongside our Kids Zone scheme, Pay & Play sessions allow for children to join in the training with an on-the-night £6.00 fee, no subscription required.
• Junior Kickers - For children aged 2-4, our Junior Kickers programme looks to help young children develop an understanding of the basic physical skills and motions used within football. Then fun and varying sessions will help to engage children in physical activity, whilst also developing a basic understanding of football which will allow them to enter the Kids Zone sessions when they turn 5.
• Soccer Camps - Our Soccer Camps run every school holiday and provide an exciting activity for your child during their time off school. Camp themes and session plans vary on a daily basis ensuring that children will be entertained and stimulated throughout the entire holiday if so desired. 

Casual Hire:

• Pitch hire - Our 6-a-side and 5-a-side pitches are available for hire on a singular basis, or through a 10 week continuous block booking. An ideal site for friends, work colleagues, football teams of all ages and many, many more. 
• Birthday Parties - A fantastic party alternative for children aged 5-12. A two hour party booking with qualified Stevenage FC coaches, ranging across four different price packages.

Our Aims

• To encourage members of the local community to support their local club.
• To improve the standard of living within the community through the projects we deliver.
• To perform to the highest levels in the delivery of football coaching and activity organisation and orchestration.
